We are committed to making a difference in our community by donating $20 on your behalf to help end hunger. Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties (SHFB) has been working since 1974 to help end local hunger by becoming one of the largest food banks in the nation.
SHFB has helped provide food for one out of every 10 people in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, counting for nearly a quarter of a million people each month. SHFB is making sure families do not have to choose between paying bills and eating healthy food, by connecting individuals in need with an assortment of programs including food banks, children’s nutrition, nutrition education, senior food bags and many more! They provide over 1 million pounds of nutritious food each week to their 320 partner nonprofits. “SHFB is able to not only help the hungry of our community, but also help make sure everyone is receiving the proper nutrition needed. This kind of dedication to our community we find remarkable and inspiring.”
With the help of your recommendation, we will raise money to help reduce hunger in our community and make sure everyone is provided with the proper nutrition they need.
