We are again pairing up with the wonderful organization, Family Supportive Housing – a non-profit in Santa Clara County that provides shelter and supportive services to homeless families and empowers them to move from homelessness to self-sufficiency in our community.
They provide temporary housing and comprehensive, targeted support to help homeless families in Santa Clara County achieve self-sufficiency, independent living and family stability. FSH offers three distinct service areas. The San José Family Shelter – the only shelter in Santa Clara County that exclusively serves single- and two-parent families – meets the basic needs for food and emergency shelter of homeless families with children, within the context of a comprehensive supportive service delivery system.
On-site Case Managers provide counseling, referrals for housing, employment services, budgeting services, health care services, workshops, parentingclasses, and ESL education. Our Bridges After Care program extends this support for an additional nine months, enabling families who complete the San José Family Shelter program to stay connected to a supportive Case Manager, as they navigate back into independent living. Our Glenn Art Arms transitional housing program offers scattered-site apartments for families, who pay 30% of income, receive supportive services and work to become self-sufficient.
By donating to this cause, you will help a homeless family, in our community, get the help they need to get back on their feet at Family Supportive housing.
By reaching the goal, we can provide a furnished private efficiency apartment including linens, blankets, pillows, towels, toiletries, toys and additional items as needed for one family at Family Supportive Housing for 90 days. If we raise $1000, we can serve TWO families!
