The Ronald McDonald House at Stanford has been providing a home-away-from home for families with critically ill children undergoing treatment in local hospitals since 1979. Since opening their doors to these families, the Palo Alto House has expanded their home 3 times due to the increase in patients and growing inability to accommodate these families as they deserve.
Ronald McDonald now offers two houses in Palo Alto, which will allow them to serve 123 families per night. The original house has been remodeled and is expected to open in June of this year. The house is currently in need of some essential items to make families feel comfortable and welcome in their temporary home.
