Pinnacle 1 Insurance, serving California’s families with an ongoing community involvement program, is heading a charity drive for Santa Cruz Veterans Resource Center in support of their efforts to help local veterans and their families through a supportive process of healing and growth. Case management, mental health services, employment and training programs are offered in addition to homeless prevention and transitional and permanent housing programs.
SANTA CRUZ, CA (PRWEB) JANUARY 11, 2017
Pinnacle 1 Insurance continues their ongoing community enrichment program by celebrating a fundraiser to benefit the Santa Cruz Veterans Resource Center (VRC). VRC is a true beacon of hope to those who have honorably served our country, engaging local heroes and their families in a supportive process of healing and growth. Donations to this worthy cause are now being accepted at https://www.crowdrise.com/extending-a-hand-to-our-local-heroes1/fundraiser/pinnacleinsuranceage.
VRC provides veteran families with outreach, mental health services, case management and assistance in obtaining VA and other mainstream benefits that promote housing stability and community integration. Through homeless prevention and rapid re-housing programs, VRC assists homeless and low-income veterans in need with transitional and permanent housing. Residential clients and many low-income veterans throughout the state benefit from improved access to nutritious meals and information to improve the health of themselves and their households. Veterans are also connected to counseling, legal services and employment and training programs. Service centers are staffed by professionals whose goal is to serve all veterans in a respectful and positive way, helping them to develop the skills necessary to achieve and maintain independence.
“We’re thrilled to team up with VRC to extend a hand to our local heroes,” said Robert Varich, owner of Pinnacle 1 Insurance. “After proudly and honorably serving our country, the least we can do is help veterans build better lives for themselves and their families. It’s a small way to thank them for their service and sacrifice.”
And it’s never been easier for the community to get involved – the caring team at Pinnacle 1 Insurance has pledged to contribute $10 to VRC for each and every person recommended to them for an insurance quotation, with no purchase necessary. Those who would like to help local veterans by having the agency make a donation on their behalf may submit the names of friends and family members for a no obligation quote at https://pin1ins.com/Extending-a-Hand-to-Our-Local-Heroes-_22_community_cause.
Meanwhile, Pinnacle 1 is busy mobilizing social media and an email awareness campaign to promote the initiative for VRC. Additionally, a full page of the agency’s vibrant community magazine, which is delivered to thousands of households in Santa Cruz, San Jose and Milpitas every month, has been dedicated to featuring the cause. The magazine’s archives, as well as the current issue of Our Hometown, may be enjoyed by visiting https://pin1ins.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.
